FAQ
The questions everyone asks
Is this legal? My friend will kill me.
Posting a photo of someone you know, with a harmless joke, is fine. You confirm at checkout that you know them and have the right to use the photo. If they ask us to take it down, we take it down. No argument, no delay.
What if someone posts my photo without asking?
Hit “Report this” on the card. Reports about a real person go to the top of the queue. If it should not be there, we remove it and can block the uploader. The person who posted it does not get their money back, because agreeing that they had your permission is part of checkout.
How does the midnight auction work?
Every day there is one auction, for tonight’s 12:00 to 1:00 AM slot, the first hour of tomorrow. It opens at midnight and closes at 8 PM; if nobody has bid by then, it stays open until 11:30 PM instead of going unsold. Tomorrow night’s auction opens tomorrow, not tonight. You submit the whole card (photo, message, bid) and nothing is charged to enter. The top bid at close wins: we review the entry, email a payment link, and give you a payment window. Miss it and the slot drops to the next bidder automatically.
When exactly does the card go live?
At the start of the slot you picked, in IST. It comes down automatically when the slot ends. The countdown on this page is the real thing, not decoration.
Can I get a refund?
No. All payments are final and we do not refund, in any case: not for a change of mind, not for the wrong slot, not for a card we reject or take down. The moment you pay, that hour comes off the market for everyone else. Check the date, the hour, the photo and the message on the confirmation screen, because that is the last point at which anything can change. If a failure on our side means your card never went up at all, email us and we will put it up in another slot.
What can I not post?
Nudity, slurs, threats, anything about a minor, anything designed to actually hurt someone, and photos of strangers. Comedy roasting your own friend: yes. Harassment campaign: no.
